Having shot Lucy and Adem’s engagement session, I just knew that this running-themed wedding was going to deliver at every turn. It didn’t disappoint.
Lucy and Adem were fortunate enough to tie that knot at the amazing St Alban’s Abbey. This place is an absolute stunner; from it’s amazing chapel, to the surrounding grounds.
From there it was a short hop, skip and a jump on the old red bus over to Oaklands College, where Lucy, Adem and their army of helpers had set up a marquee complete with more hand-made touches than you can count.
The “Race up the Aisle” running theme ran through the day with race map on the order of service, a finishers’ podium for photo ops, medals as wedding favours and race number table markers. This was DIY wedding with so much love and charm.
Adem’s Turkish roots were also present with amazing food (so much delicious baklava), some dangerously strong toasting spirits on each table and even a couple of belly dancers.
All in all it was an amazing day that couldn’t have belonged to anyone other than Lucy and Adem. Here’s a selection of shots from their incredible day.
